my playlist

songs currently on my playlist:

'**********' by ****7. gorgeous song. haunting vocals and a soothing melody. pay attention to the lyrics. i'm feeling particularly selfish right now. i don't wanna share this song! it's too special to be shared with people who can't appreciate its beauty. (the O.C.)

'hello sunshine' by super furry animals. most memorable line/my favourite line is the title itself. as for the rest of the song, it sounds very beatle-ish. has a retro feel to it. (the O.C.)

i absolutely ADORE gavin degraw. i came across him in my sleep. LITERALLY. i was sleeping, and in my subconscious state, i vaguely remembered hearing a song with the words "follow through". when i woke up, the song was over and i never found out who it was by. the song continued to haunt me, until by a stroke of luck, i randomly searched for it and found him! while watching one tree hill, they played this song as the opening and i was so inspired by the lyrics. it was only later on that i found out it was him. he sounded so familiar.

i'd recommend 'i don't wanna be' (one tree hill), 'follow through' and the stripped down version of 'chariot'. he plays the piano beautifully and he sings even better live. considering how lousy other artistes are at that, he's a true gem.

bonus: his adorable curly hair *grin*

'cannonball' by damien rice. get the original album version. the slow one. (the O.C.) this song is high on melancholy. if you only saw the scene in which it was played in, you would get it. i SO get it. that feeling of yearning- wanting something SO badly that it actually hurts and knowing that you can't have it. but you still want it anyway. simply because you can't choose who you love.

stones taught me to fly
love taught me to lie
life taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

last but not least, eva cassidy's 'songbird'. always.

definitely my favourite song of all time. nothing else comes close.

goodnight, sleep tight. don't let the bedbugs bite.

she used to say that to me every night.
