valentine's day is coming up soon, too soon. next wednesday, as a matter of fact. AHHH. why is it that i'm physically incapable of spending this 'special' day with a partner, boyfriend, i mean... someone i love?!?
it's frustrating. my relationships either end before v'day comes round or if i'm with someone, we end up skipping the whole thing altogether. i just can't figure it out. then again, i've only been in 1.5 relationships - haha - i'm probably not the best person to comment prematurely on this particular topic.
i'm turning 21 this year, and i have yet to spend valentine's day, the 'traditional' way; you know, roses, chocolate, candlelight, romance, etc. *snort* the only candlelight i'd get is if i were to light a tealight myself. ditto with the roses, chocolate and romance.
ESPECIALLY the romance.
however, we single independent women refuse to dwell on these insignificant little details, hence, gen anny and myself (so far; possibly jobi, pauline?) are signing up to have a singles v'day BLAST together!
hmm.. now if only i could work out some sort of arrangement where i wouldn't have to work the next day. heh
