chompchomp

**chompchomp

i know, i KNOW this is long overdue- like several months overdue- before gen flew back to the land down under and sarah off to waikiki. oh well this'll have to do. yes, i realise my photo arranging skills leave much to be desired-- tough!

sarah and i rushed over to gardens after attending a 'fashion show' at scotts. some fashion show it was, the guests had to stand around the racks of clothing in the store while watching the 'show' which by the way, consisted of a pathetically tired and dusty-looking red carpet posing as a 'runway' and 3 models to model every single piece of clothing in the collection. yeah, i counted. T-H-R-E-E.

*shrugs* what-ever. the people there were so phony and fake, it didn't make much of a difference to me. blowing air kisses (in some cultures, it's part of their etiquette. when did it become part of singaporean culture? like never?)

moving on. upon reaching serangoon gardens and unloading our stuff at sarah's place [in my case, switching my hotpink heels [exodus style but $10 from target (aus)]- that were giving me blisters- for proper flipflops] we were off again- to search for miss viva sitting pretty at chompchomp.

i handed over gen's personalised birthday present and to my delight; she was delighted :) she was fascinated by the box, even more so than the bag i had painstakingly sewed 'viva' with a crown in sequins for her. she loved it because i had freehanded our picture (the one with the flower in my hair + gen with her pretty blue beads at andrea's) for my digital essentials class, and i decided to print a smaller sized one for her. she clutched the box to her like a baby with a bolster. it was SHO cute. *grin*

see? personalised presents are the best. heh. HINT HINT CLUE CLUE. december 7th awaits!

we hung out- eating, drinking, talking, chilling mostly. it felt really good to get together again, even if gen was to leave the morning after. it felt kinda.. i don't know. i can't explain it but, when you know time is running out; you make the most of it, and we certainly did. serangoon gardens is really pretty at night- to my surprise.

i simply couldn't bear to crop out the pretty lights behind me in the photos/NO i am NOT a narcissist/gen had the digicam/i didn't know the sneaky little thing was snapping away.

it was cool and breezy, just the way i like it. good food, good conversation, good company, good weather- what are we waiting for?
