hello all,

status:
currently holed up in the school library using their top-of-the-line macs. i absolutely cannot figure my way around this, there is no font/size/italic/bold/colour option whatsoever! the audacity!

quick update:
i'm fine. i've settled in, sorta. i spent an hour or so last night scratching my head on how to arrange/mount my collage of photos on the wall but with much hard work and the aid of blu-tack (actually, it's white) i eventually created a rainbow of beauuuutiful faces staring back at me [i've heard and found to be true that it actually helps to ease the homesickness] - FINALLY! - now that mum has at long last given her consent and made her final (hopefully) touches to the fengshui in my room (they rearranged my bed and desk THREE TIMES).

cue: huge sigh of relief.

my address:
Room 11B Sedgemoor House
The Doust, Doust Way
Rochester Kent ME1-1HH

SEND LOTS AND LOTS OF CARE PACKAGES FULL OF LOVE!! (and pretty things! hee)

i may have mentioned it to some before but i'll start from scratch. day one - i was the first person to move into my flat, imagine walking down the corridors/hallways in the middle of the night hearing nothing but the creaking of the wooden floorboards beneath you and music coming from your flatmates' rooms but not a single person in sight. freaky shit.

but i survived, THANK YOU ROYBOYTOY! for transferring the complete season 2 & 3 of greys, it was the ONLY thing that sustained me. seriously, seriously! day 2/3/4 - people started moving in, but no one really made conversation, just small talk whilst passing each other in the hallways and kitchen ya' know?

then on friday i went for my international student orientation/enrolment and i met a bunch of great girls :) amandapants and lili, second year exchange students from nz. jo, danae, alexandra, rachael, anastasia, love from greece aka the greek girls as i call them. carla, our little sexpot from malta. amy, resident harajuku girl... hmm and i'm not sure who else. oh yes, there's me. little oriental girl from singapore! WHOOHOO. i'm older than everyone else, but possibly the smallest, physically. they tell me my 'petite frame' is very deceiving deceptive, apparently i blend in quite easily with the rest of the 'teenagers'. haha

they are all so lovely, warm and welcoming. we've had.. i've lost count of the actual number of dinner parties we've had this week. EVERYONE COOKS! the greek girls can whip up souffle, pizza, salad, curry chicken & rice, spicy tomato pasta sauce in like 15 minutes flat, all the whilst turned away from the stove chatting, one hand swiftly slicing onions/garlic/sprinkling herbs etc.

so far, everyone's been wonderful, they are collectively on a mission to teach victoria how to cook! everytime we get together for lunch/dinner/drinks (do you know, that we've had alcohol EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE WE ARRIVED!?! a glass of wine after dinner, tequila shots at the bar, g&t at the meet&greet, vodka while playing pool.. the list goes on) my job is to pay close attention and take mental notes on how to prepare meals. damn, they make it look so easy!

anyway, i have to run along now - meeting uncle B. and mum at HSBC for boring bank stuff.

love me!
