okay, so the "House Party Mo Fo" photocopied invites that were passed around halls last week is not so much a turn off as it is hilarious. *smirk* i'm not 100% sure that the dude i spoke with (re: directions) is an actual occupant of the house - how rare is that? - but anyway.. manda is certain/insistent that we're going, because of jo and parrotboy and me and ____. i haven't conjured up a suitable/appropriate moniker for that person yet, so in the meantime he shall be referred to simply as ____.
i don't know why the sudden interest to be honest. it's not like i found him attractive at first sight or anything, in fact i thought he worked for the bar. i assumed so because he was collecting empty cups at one of the several parties. as for the other one, nah, he's too much of a pretty boy to get over his ego (i'm presuming). you know, one of those orlando bloom types that girls automatically fawn over and throw themselves at. plus i'm p.r.e.t.t.y sure he knows it and uses it to his advantage.
i was reading an article somewhere - can't remember - about how human beings are more inclined to be attracted to familiar faces and that they conducted a survey/experiment to prove it: these guys were shown pictures of girls (some of which were in actual fact modified [female] versions of themselves) and they all chose the pictures of themselves. it works hand in hand with the logic that we are most attracted to ourselves and/or people who look like us.
err.. i don't know why i suddenly brought that up BUT i'm positive i had a point to make somewhere in there. oh right, point being: we are attracted to familiar faces. hence, before i spoke to ____, i never noticed or paid any heed to him. however, post 10-second-interaction: i find my eyes darting around, seeking him out whenever we're in the same room.
dammit. not again.
oh god, i have to get over this: men. sheesh.
note: i visited UCCA's myspace and saw a photo of ____, with some girl pressed up against him. didn't look all that innocent to me. oh well that goes that bubble.
