have you ever watched tea change colour?
i have.
matter of fact, i just did.
we were stuffing our faces silly; at a buffet in the hotel in front of zouk (i don't know its name) - filling plate after plate with all kinds of mouth-watering delicacies. swear to god, there was at least a good 10 minutes (min.) of absolute silence (and the sound of crickets chirping) as we gobbled down our food - like pigs we were. we were starving i tell you. S-T-A-R-V-I-N-G.
after all that was done with, we were served tea. all of a sudden, i noticed something i had never noticed before; the colour of tea as milk was poured into the teacup. the milk makes lazy swirling motions as it slowly but steadily infiltrates, and eventually transforms the colour of the tea.
it's so... pretty. like art in motion.
i then subsequently offered to pour milk from the cute little jug into everyone else's tea, sitting in silence, with my eyes wide open as i observed the change in colour.
it brought to mind the 'brownian motion' theory from my tattered and torn physics textbook, something regarding the movement of smoke particles in air molecules.. etc. i assume i will not have to explain how physics is not a particular forte of mine *grin*
you should try it one day; it's amazing how these little things go unnoticed on a daily basis. but when we actually take the time, and pause for breath to appreciate them, they're spectacular.
i love how the little things in life take my breath away.
