the deja vus' of all deja vus'

i had a dream last night - talk about the deja vus' of all deja vus', this is it! - i know i've been there before, in my dreams. i remember passing by the same florist in the basement, going up several escalators, cutting through an all-white departmental store, the same security guard.

i've had this dream before, well not necessarily the same dream, but it's the same place.

but in reality, i've never been there. guess where all of took place? get this; VIENNA.

(note: i don't know how i know i'm in vienna, but *shrugs* you know how it is in dreams. you just know.) --> WHOA. 4 'know's in one sentence. BEAT THAT.

i hardly spent any time in vienna when i was there, let alone did much shopping in departmental stores. we were too busy day-tripping through prague and budapest. yet the images were so vivid, so colourful, so concise - so real.

piecing together the bits that i can recall; i realised i had lost my brown canvas armymarketbag. i was somewhere stranded in the middle of a busy street. i crossed the street and found myself standing right in front of said store entrance, but there were big red arrow stickers pointing me to the right, asking for all shoppers to enter via a different entrance. i remember walking past one entrance and entering through the next one.

suddenly i saw a familiar face; i found mummy in the store and aunty mei to boot. we were then led through some security holding area, when i was presented with row upon row of lost items. there were too many to count, hundreds & hundreds of lost bags and for some strange reason, pots?

i don't remember if i ever found my bag, all i remember is waking up with this adventure in my head**

merv: if you only realised it now, then - tsk tsk - some kinda friend you are. hahaha.
