"chin up young person"

goodness, it's been so long since i last blogged that my fingers feel foreign against the keyboard, or is it the other way around? the keyboard feels foreign against my fingers.

i've been tangled/tied up in the world of interning styling writing sourcing borrowing/loaning returning photoshooting calling/liasoning... etc. to the extent that i've been receiving complaint after complaint of my (get this: NOTICEABLE) absence in the techno-world. hee.

on the other hand, my social life seems to be going relatively/reasonably/moderately okay. i don't wanna jinx it by saying the words "good" "fine" or "well". hah, my mother commented that of-late, my house has resembled a hotel, with random strangers strolling in & out (of my room) at all hours of the day (and night).

the circle of trust certainly does have its advantages :) 'nuff said.

don't wanna divulge too much info, but the past weekend has been too much fun:

a spot of R&R @ MS
teensy bit of SSpping
new haircut
some good food
fantastic company
late night chillin'
and we're all set - tada! a new me emerges.

and that's just the half of it

with a stellar lineup consisting of a promising 21st birthday party at some fancy shmancy hotel and the prospect of some good old fashioned R&B, who can say no?

certainly not i *big smile*

eh, but people, was i the only one who took the dresscode seriously? the invitation stated PSYCHEDELIC what. and to think that i was already wearing what i considered a toned down version of what i originally had in mind *shudders*

i swear i would've shown up in something from my mother's closet not to mention something puffyglitterysequinnedbeadedpolkadotted. you name it, that walkingspectrumofcolours would've been me.

BIG PLUS: i was only fooling around when i screamed out IPOD! as one of the lucky draw prizes, who's to know that an ipod nano would turn out to be the 2nd prize?!?!

tsk tsk. only you isk, only you.

the weekend whizzed by, i can't even recall the details in full colour&sound the way i usually do. was it wala first then dinnerforfour at my place? or in the reverse order. i vaguely recall a jalan kayu supper and a long walk home. for the life of me, i'm losing my memory at a worrying pace, for a nineteen year old.

note to self: if i'm so over it, then why does it still hurt. notice how it's not a question, but a statement. i already know the answer...

"chin up young person" - now where have i heard that before?

right! jennifer aniston paul rudd; the object of my affection. darn. it was 'head up young person' but chin up does have a nice ring to it, think i'm gonna stick with it.

and i'll leave with this
(why can't i shut up tonight)

time heals all wounds
time wounds all heals
